WHAT WE'RE ABOUT
Our current healthcare system is focused on being reactive.
At Balance in Motion, we take a proactive approach to empowering aging adults and seniors.
We equip them with the tools they need to ensure independence and quality of life. We also believe that training should be available as continued service for aging adults to assist in gaining and maintaining strength, endurance, and balance.
We identify the specific needs of our clients and create programs that promote wellness and assist with the prevention of falls and injuries.
Our goal is to make sure our aging adults can maintain their independence and have the option to age in the place of their choice.
“A doctor may save your life, but an occupational therapist helps you live it.”
Our values protect our clients and our integrity.
At Balance in Motion, we take a proactive approach toward adult health, wellness, and independence. We believe that therapy should be available as a continued service for aging adults to help independence be maintained, both in their homes and in the community. Our services are focused on improving the quality of life of our clients and promoting successful aging.
Balance in Motion provides preventative and extended therapy services to aging adults by offering tailored training programs that promote independence and prevent falls and atrophy.
We provide evidence-based and effective training methods that are tailored to our client's specific needs. We will demonstrate integrity by ensuring open communication while setting realistic expectations and goals. We will provide creative and effective strategies to improve quality of life in a fun, comfortable environment.

Ami Alford
Owner, OTP, COTA/L
"I am passionate about helping the aging adult maintain their independence for as long as possible."
Ami has worked as an Occupational Therapy Practitioner for 8 years in an inpatient skilled-nursing facility.
She has had the opportunity to work at multiple locations throughout Greater Cincinnati.
This allowed her to identify 2 key areas of much-needed improvement in the therapy care for aging adults: preventative and extended balance training services.
This was her motivation to start Balance in Motion.
Ami wants to help people maintain their independence at home and in the community, improve their quality of life, and keep them out of nursing facilities.
She uses her fun, positive attitude, and tireless energy to encourage her clients to work hard and reach their goals.
Ami is blessed with her supportive husband and fur baby. In her spare time, she enjoy playing sand volleyball, gardening, hiking, and traveling.
